3D printed Swiss watch

Posted on Updated on

We all love to have unique things. It is human nature.
When we visited Europe, I bought the Swiss watch at the Geneva airport.
The watch had the unique color. I never ever find that watch here in the USA before.
Recently when I was shopping at the mall. I visited Swiss watch store. I love shopping. You know what did I found. The same watch I bought at the airport. I can’t believe it.

Some people who were working for the store told me this is only for Geneva.

It is fine. We can get 3D printed watch, any color, any style:)
According to Bellouard and TAG Heuer Chief Executive Officer Jean-Claude Biver says”A personalized watch—a certain type of watch for one single person—would certainly be added value, and people would buy it for that, so the price could go up. Simplified manufacturing by reducing the number of components could also make it cheaper in certain aspects of transition is still in the beginning stages. Customers are increasingly looking for bespoke and unique pieces.”

3D print one of the strongest materials on Earth

According to Xiaoyu “Rayne” Zheng and “Hensleigh”, assistant professor with the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the College of Engineering and director of the Advanced Manufacturing and Metamaterials Lab,“Now a designer can design three-dimensional topology comprised of interconnected graphene sheets. This new design and manufacturing freedom will lead to optimization of strength, conductivity, mass transport, strength, and weight density that are not achievable in graphene aerogels.
We’ve been able to show you can make a complex, three-dimensional architecture of graphene while still preserving some of its intrinsic prime properties, Usually, when you try to 3D print graphene or scale up, you lose most of their lucrative mechanical properties found in its single sheet form. It’s a significant breakthrough compared to what’s been done, We can access pretty much any desired structure you want”.
