3-D printed artificial rocks

3-D printer to make perfectly identical artificial rocks.

Anderson conducts research on how fluids move underground.

Anderson said, “We all had a laugh at the idea, but then we realized it wasn’t that bad of an idea then he told figure out how to do it, to replicate identical rock twins many times over, the researchers laser-scan a single rock, capturing every wrinkle and grain, then feed the data into the 3-D printer and watch as the machine spits out one perfect copy after another, sometimes reproducing rocks no bigger than a quinoa bud, others the size of a Rubik’s Cube.

“The biggest challenge was having to carve out an entirely new research area that we hadn’t dabbled in before”.:)

Mindset Comments

—————————–

Mindset Comments are the collection of 3d printing things. This is because we love 3d printing and want to encourage what can be done by 3d printing. How much we liked it.

There are two types of mindsets we can think. One that embraces problems as opportunities to learn, and one that avoids them, often out of fear to fail. People that avoid conflicts can be described as having a fixed mindset. Those who see problems as interesting challenges have a growth mindset.

“In a fixed mindset, we believe our basic abilities, our intelligence, our talents, are just fixed traits. We have a certain amount and that’s that, and then our goal becomes to look smart all the time and never look not smart enough. In a growth mindset, we understand that our talents and abilities can be developed through effort, good teaching, and persistence. We don’t necessarily think everyone’s the same or anyone can be Einstein, but we believe everyone can get smarter if they work at it.”

Your suggestions beneficial for next generation, Thanks.

We’d like to give a shout-out to all our loyal fans.:)
