According to Rohit Bhargava, professor of bioengineering at the University of Illinois,” he has created a new kind of 3D printer capable of producing complex shapes from sugar that can be used to grow biological tissues. The printer uses free-form printing to create intricate structures that could not be made with traditional layer-by-layer 3D printing”.
