According to the Solidoodle,”It was founded in 2011 by Sam Cervantes. The goal of Solidoodle is to sell affordable and easy to use 3D printer. Their mission is to make 3D printing accessible to everyone and to put a 3D printer in every house. This company is based in Brooklyn, NY. This company was started in a kitchen. So far they have sold 10,000(2015) 3D printers in over 60 different countries. Their 3D printers are priced from $499 to $999″.:)
According to the Lance Abernethy, ” he is an Engineer from New Zealand built a small drill which is complete for tiny works. This drill is around half a millimeter wide and half an inch long. He used hearing aid batteries for this drill. The following youtube video shows the drill in action”.:)
According to Yingchuang,” This is the company in China. They are building houses with 3D printers. They use the environmentally friendly material for 3D printing houses such as recycled construction waste and industrial waste. Also, they use a large 3D printer which is 20 feet tall, 33 feet wide, and 132 feet long. The house making process takes 24 hours. They make pieces one by one and assemble the house. This process is good for construction workers since they are not exposed to hazardous material. This process is also environmentally friendly”.:)
Carbon3D has announced a new approach to polymer-based 3D printing. Their approach is based on CLIP (Continuous Liquid Interface Production) technology which continuously grows objects from resin instead of the conventional approach of the layer by layer printing. Joseph DeSimone, co-founder of Carbon3D and Chancellor’s Eminent Professor of Chemistry, UNC, mentioned in his Ted talk in Canada, that this technique was inspired by the film Terminator 2, in which the T-1000 robot rises from a pool of metallic liquid. According to DeSimone, objects created by conventional 3D printing are weak because they are made up of multiple layers obtained by 2D printing over and over again. In contrast, CLIP based 3D printing is 25-100 times faster and generates much stronger objects.:)
