3D Printed Authenticity Tags

Origin is 3d printing company to develop a tamper-proof retail ‘smart tag’ guaranteeing the authenticity of high-value consumer goods.
The tags stand at the confluence of several rapidly developing technologies and have the potential to change the way brands, retailers, and consumers interact.

Ember is 3D printer from Autodesk.
“The 3D-printed Chronicled tag is the first product that can be adapted to fit entirely different markets in minutes; we can match the product’s look and feel to fit brands, retailers, and consumer tastes in different luxury-good markets without additional costs or delays,” said Origin CEO Chris Prucha.

3D Printing Entire Fashion Collection

———————————————-

Dalit Peleg, an Israeli fashion designer has 3D printed entire fashion collections using small consumer 3D printers.  She experimented with different printers and different materials.  She realized that materials like PLA are inflexible and not suitable for use as fabric.  However, she found a material FilaFlex which is flexible and strong.  She 3D printed a red jacket using a Witbox 3D printer and FilaFlex material.  Once she figured out how to 3D print textile, she started creating full collections including shoes.  She has shown that we can design our own textile and manufacture clothes from our home using 3D printing.
