According to the White House announcement,” Contestants made an Ornament for White House using 3D printers in November 2014.

Contestants were asked to create an ornament that reflects “the theme of the magic and wonder of the holidays and the winter season for the contest rules please go to the website.”

Small Structures using Micro 3-D Printer. According to Michael Thiel, chief scientific officer at Nanoscribe,” karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany, has developed a tabletop microprinter that can make  complicated 3D micro structures more than 99%  times faster. “If something took one hour to make, it now takes less than one minute”.:)
