3D printers are helping the environment. The material wastage is less because we need limited resources to build.
As mentioned by Armando Montero, an assistant professor,¨The construction industry has a lot of room for improvement—it’s basically the same today as it was 100 years ago. We’ve been looking at the use of construction technologies in our curriculum. This research project is an excellent opportunity for the university to explore a technology that could seriously impact affordable housing. We decided to look into it further to start a collaboration and highlight our program in some way.¨
