Philip Breedon is a Professor of Smart Technologies at Nottingham Trent University’s School of Architecture, Design, and the Built Environment. He has extensive experience in the field of digital technologies, particularly in the areas of rapid prototyping, additive manufacturing, and smart materials.

Prof. Breedon has published numerous research papers on these topics and has been involved in various research projects, including the development of a wearable device to monitor Parkinson’s disease, the use of 3D printing in orthotics and prosthetics, and the use of smart materials in sports equipment. Aside from his academic work, Prof. Breedon has also worked with industry partners, such as Rolls-Royce and Nike, to explore the use of smart technologies in their respective fields. He is also a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
